Leave it up to liberals to celebrate a government program's birthday. Since we're personifying government programs now, we'll talk about the old geezer and just how wonderful he is (sarcasm intended). I will make the case that Social Security doesn't really exist... it's sort of a big government-promoted scam and the promise of "security" only exists if the government can deliver it.
