Broadcasting Sex Offender Addresses

So... one of our FM stations got a call the other morning from somebody complaining that we aired the street address of a sex offender who moved into Idaho Falls over the summer. In this case, it was George Robert Jones on 1425 Elmore Avenue. The caller complained that this could lead to harassment of sex offenders.

We certainly don't advocate harming sex offenders, but perhaps people should spend their time trying to eradicate pedophilia, rape, etc. and less time worrying that some creep's house gets egged or teepeed.

Finally, I ask, if a sex offender gets harassed, who's fault is that?
