Student Suspension over drawing

Here's the pic of a doodle that got a kid suspended from school in Arizona because it resembles a gun. While some say this is school administrators being overly-sensitive to school violence -- which is true -- I would add that some in our society are beginning to feel entitled to regulating what we think. This is as Orwellian as much as it is ridiculous.

Maybe the kid is an aspiring soldier or police officer. Why does the image of a gun always need to be assumed negative? We have our freedom due to our right to bear arms and to those who thankfully learn to use them.
