Nasa's administrator is questioning the leftist view of global warming. He's being called crazy and irresponsible, but nobody is really answering the question.
It's kind of like in Orwell's 1984. If you tell a lie enough, it becomes truth, and anyone who questions this new "truth" must be marginalized. Agree with him or not, the guy raises a valid question, so why doesn't the scientific community answer his question about what climate is the optimal climate?
