I sort of feel like I did when I got off the school bus that morning back in 5th grade and everyone was talking about the big Challis earthquake, that I never felt because I was on a bouncy bus.
It seems there was a big meteor that I didn't see last night, and it had quite a few people talking. It had to be in the air for a while, because several people took pictures.

Meteor Lights up the Sky

I did see it. At first I was afraid it was a plane exploding mid-air. It left a trail somewhat like the exhaust trail you see following a jet.
It was visible for much longer than a shooting star might be, so it was hard to decided what it might actually be.
