Disgruntled Hospital Employees

So here's the deal. PMC Employees said they wanted to have a meeting to talk about hospital beautification with the County Commissioners. When they showed up they said, "We actually don't want to talk about beautification. We want to talk about how terrible it is to work at PMC." This presents a moral dilemma. We have a right as a people to know the nature of business being conducted by our elected officials, but whistleblowers also have a right to be protected. Nobody in this case was trying to dupe the community, so I'm not terribly concerned, though perhaps the commissioners should have stopped the meeting and created an alternate venue for disgruntled employees to air their concerns without fear of retribution.
