Have malls run their course?

Malls have been a staple of American consumerist culture for decades now, but there are signs that the mall concept is fading. While Pine Ridge Mall officials in Chubbuck tried to put a positive spin on the fact that they've lost Macy's and Dillard's in recent months it's pretty clear to anyone who goes to the mall these days that it's not the shopping destination it used to be.
