I have two thoughts about the family living in tents near Scout Mountain. First, isn't it ironic that they leave their home and belongings, so they can start a business for... emergency preparedness? Secondly, why is this even a story. This is how most human used to live all the time, so I'm not sure why it's that big a deal.

Yeah, but it's not how people live now, and they have young kids. Have some compassion, dude. How would you feel if it was your family living out in the cold without a roof over your head?
Ironic for someone who teaches and preaches preparedness to be so unprepared. Financial preparedness is more important than having a bag of wheat and a grinder as far as I'm concerned. By the way, the only things I have a year's supply of are deoderant, peanut butter, mac-n-cheese and cold cereal. I'm in trouble, I know. "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear." I should be shakin'!
