NLS: November 1

On Monday's Neal Larson Show we'll be interviewing Republican candidate for Representative in District 30A, Brian Nugent, U.S. Senator Republican Mike Crapo, and State Superintendent Incumbent Republican Tom Luna. Election Day is just a day away. Listen to Newstalk 690 and 1260 for all of your election coverage.

A few weeks ago Idaho Falls had problems with Mountain Lions in neighborhoods. This week...its a deer. Check it out.

(IDAHO FALLS) -- A wounded mule deer buck found its way into Idaho Falls yesterday in a neighborhood north of Skyline High School. The deer hopped a fence and found its way into the backyard of Eric and Katy Rawlins. The deer had obviously been hit by a car and was missing one of its antlers. Due to the busy holiday weekend, Fish and Game as well as Animal Control were not on hand to take care of the deer. Officials expect the deer will wander back to where it came from.

A Big Congratulations!

We're a pretty proud bunch here at Riverbend this week. Out of thousands of radio GM's across the nation, our very own Jim Burgoyne received the General Manager of the Year award from the National Association of Broadcasters.

Jim is even more nice than he looks in this picture. He's one of those rare souls whose influence just makes you want to be better. He didn't earn this award for any kind of hard-driving taskmaster approach. We credit his patience, expertise, work ethic, and good nature. We're not surprised, but we sure are thrilled!

Here's a video of Jim receiving his award in Washington DC Thursday...
